For All the Anchorman Fans

As all of you know, I am an avid fly fisherman who sits at his desk all day wishing I was in a stream somewhere in the mountains, northern Michigan, etc. My love for fly fishing tops all things, including candy, watching all sports, FF and monster energy drinks. The feeling of standing in a river of rushing water is unlike any other. To feel the life of a stream that flows out of the mountains, one that starts as a trickle and finishes as a mighty beast, is something that everyone on this planet should experience. Whether or not you enjoy fishing, the enjoyment of nature is apart of everyone. We are animals after all.

Natural instinct is something each of us are born with and I feel blessed to have friends like you guys who understand the world enough to know how important experiencing its wonders is. I find myself very upset sometimes when thinking about the people that do not know nature. The ones that only know a cubicle and the quest for the next dollar. That is not to say money is not important (I am in a soul-sucking job for the money) but money is certainly not everything, or better yet, certainly not worth missing a chance to experience a part of nature that you can cherish and love for the rest of your days. Experiencing nature triggers different emotions for each of us and thus gives us the opportunity to connect so deeply with the natural world.

I would like to share two fishing reports from my two regularly visited fly shops in Grayling, Michigan. Graying is home of my favorite river, the Au Sable, which is where Trout Unlimited was started and thus, fly fishing in the United States was born. Give the two a read and if you get the urge to want to visit the mighty Au Sable, I would be happy to take any and all for a camping/fishing trip in one of the coming weekends.
